GRADY'S HOBBIES
Since I am a licensed pilot it should be a natural thing for me to be into model airplanes.
My first models were small delicate things powered by a large rubber band and the kits
cost fifteen to twenty five cents. Then came the little gas engines for models and flying
was more fun and a little more expensive. Several years passed and radio control came
into being. Now the price of our toys became more expensive plus the need for
transmitters, receivers, servos and retractable wheels. Whee, now the price of RC flying
has really jumped. Anywhere from $500.00 to $10,000.00 and up. Turbine engines alone run
$1500.00 bucks. I saw a 6 ft. model P-38 that was racing other airplanes. The owner had
over $15,000.00 bucks tied up in his plane. Below are some of my scale models I have built
over the years. The B-24 being the most expensive of all my models. Most all of my
models were powered by Fox Engines which were realiable with plenty of power.
