THE GULLETT FAMILY
NEWS PAGE
Grady Morgan is the curator of this site and it is maintained exclusively by him. He can be
reached by E-mail at: gradyhall@yahoo.com You can send him news related items
and pictures that would be of interest to all other members of the Gullet Family and he will put it
on this page for all to see. Please send news by E-mail because Grady can't read his own
writing if he has to copy something down. The bank still honors his checks tho.

THE GULLETT FAMILY REUNION WILL BE HELD IN
THE SAME PARK (MEADOW VISTA), BUT WE HAVE
THE COVERED SECTION RESERVED THIS TIME.
THE DATE IS SATURDAY, AUGUST 25th. SET THIS
DATE ASIDE AND START LETTING EVERYONE
KNOW ABOUT IT. ALSO REFER EVERYONE TO
THIS SITE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. I WILL
KEEP THIS PAGE UPDATED AS WE GO ALONG AND
WILL DISCUSS WHAT TO BRING AS TIME GETS
CLOSER. WE HAD QUITE A FEW AT LAST YEAR'S
MEETING AND WITH GOD'S HELP, MAYBE THE LIST
WILL BE EVEN GREATER THIS YEAR.
FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE PARK;
Regarding Don: Don had open-heart surgery two and a half weeks ago -- five bypasses. The guy doesn't do anything
in a small way. I don't think he had any idea his heart was all blocked up; any symptoms he might have had were
probably attributed to either his lung problem or his chemo treatments. He checked himself into the hospital with severe
pains in his stomach; after checking him over they found he had a kidney infection and that he'd suffered a heart attack
sometime. This resulted in the angiogram that detected the heart blockages. Anyway, after a week in the hospital after
surgery he was transferred to rehab medical care facility where he has been for about 10 days now. Release time is
uncertain, but probably will be in there for another couple of week or so. I'm planning to drive out there next week to
assist him in his recovery after release from rehab. In the meantime, Russ (one of Don's friends) and I will be working to
get Don moved into a low-cost senior residence where he will not have to be negotiating four flights of stairs and maybe
have a bathroom more suited to his condition. Don seems to be doing well, making gains in rehab but has a long way to
go. So, he can use yours and Margaret's prayers.
